Presenter Studio

Once again we received 100% 5 star reviews once more from our TV Presenter Training Fast Track Programme last weekend.  Thanks everyone for all your kind words – it really does mean so much to us.

We had 4 new aspiring presenters – a scientist, a model, a musician and a builder.  All receiving top Producing by two of the UK’s most experienced and respected TV Producers.  But don’t just take our word for it – here’s what they had to say about us:

Anthony Poi:  5 Stars!  I’d definitely recommend you guys.  Loved your top rankings and BBC references.  Great work!

Jon Dunningham:  5 Stars.  You guys stand out from the crowd.  You work in mainstream TV and that’s what I want to do.  There is no comparison!

Lorraine Chinouriri:  5 Stars. I loved the personal touch and the genuine and honest feedback.  Plus the constant encouragement.  I think this course is perfect.  keep doing your thang guys!  I Loved it!  I want to do the ideas day too.

Kunle Barker:  5 Stars.  I loved the fact that I was pushed throughout the 2 days.  Very rewarding and yes I’d recommend you guys!   I’m coming back for more.

TV Presenter Jobs

All the presenters who train with us on the private 1 to 1 or the fast track programme go on our talent database where we put you up for work.

It’s a free service to everyone – all we ask for is that you keep in touch with us.  TV jobs are all about ‘can you start tomorrow’ so please if you’ve been on one of our training programmes remember to keep us updated every so often so we know if you are available.

Last week we put up a load of you for some great work.  And today we’ve just been asked to provide a stylist for a new fashion series.  So this is who we have put up.  Who would you choose and why?

Karen Williams: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uU6ULGKxPik

Good luck everyone!  And remember keep in touch!!

Each week we are contacted by people who have been on one of the many TV presenter courses you can find on line.  They are often very confused as to why they can’t get work, or simply a reply to a job application.  And the reason is simple – it’s often very hard to work out what it is that they are offering.

It’s your job as a TV Presenter to bring a show to life. As a Producer is our job to understand what our show needs from its presenter.  What type of audience do I want them to attract; do they fit in with the tone and style of the show; are they right for the channel; are they interested in the subject matter of the show – music/property/travel.  And above all – what is the presenter going to add to the show?

We’ve held many senior TV jobs in our time – Head of Development at CPL, Exec Producer BBC Format Enertainment Development, and continue to work in the industry.  A development team is hired to get new shows commissioned with new talent attached.  To support your idea you often submit what is known as a ‘taster tape’ – a taste of the idea and the talent.   And this is what we do here.  We offer you the same products and services we do in the industry – that’s why we’re so successful and that’s why so many of our presenters can go direct to TV co’s and commissioners.

It’s a mindfield out there, with so much bad advice, but as industry insiders we can help.  We’re proud of our amazing success rate here, and we’re also proud to be different.  And so should you!

Our presenters have gone on to work for CBBC, BBC One, SKY, Channel 5, Channel 4, E4, 4Music, ITV, ABC America, QVC…the list goes on.

So if you want TV Presenter Training that works drop us an email to find out how we can help you stand out from the crowd.

Have a great weekend everyone.   And keep up the good work!

ITV This Morning are loving our clients at the moment!  We’ve recently had Paul Frangie on as a new chef – Phillip described him as the sexiest chef they have ever had on.

Lisa Palmer is on ITV’s This Morning today talking relationships.  She also has an idea in for her own series with a major TV network.

And the lovely Rylan is doing so well and is now a regular face for ITV and fast becoming one of the hottest presenters on TV and is doing a great job on Big Brother again this year.

Also quick shout outs to Arazou who is filming with Channel 4 this week.  Well done to Anna Johnson who got the travel job we posted.  And also to Charles who just weeks after we did his tape has been called into ITV.   Belinda again just weeks after getting her tape has interest for her own series, as does Laura Milne who is now working with one of the UK’s best TV Production Co’s.   Evan has just finished filming a documentary.  Wilfred Frost now has a top news anchor job.   Daljit has her own fitness show, Kayse has just got back from abroad after filming her own fashion series.   John Mason who is presenting at the athletics for the BBC.

Here’s the tapes we did for these guys in our exclusive presenter training courses that have caught the attention of these channels.

THE PRESENTER STUDIO REVIEWS

We get an incredible success rate here with about 4 of the 5 people on each Fast Track Presenter Programme going on to get professional work.  Which is amazing when we are open to anyone!

Many of the people who come have gone on to become personal friends of ours and there is even a social group where people meet share contacts and get together for drinks.  People have not only got amazing work but they have also made new friends for life.

Here’s what you have to say about us!

5 TOP TIPS TO BEING A GOOD TV PRESENTER

1. KNOW YOUR BRAND.  This is where most people go wrong.  They think that by being able to do everything (entertainment/news/childrens/docs) they might get a job.  But our industry works in the opposite way – you need to find your USP

2.  KNOW YOUR MARKET.  Which type of work are you best suited to?  Are there jobs in that area at the moment?  Does your brand match your market?

3.  BE NICE.  A good attitude goes a long way in TV.  We are all freelance and we all ask each other – ‘what are they like?’  So don’t form cliques, don’t knock others – be the one that stands out as nice to work with.

4.  WORK HARD.  If you want to be a singer/dancer/actor/artist you work hard.  You keep training, developing and perfecting your skills, regardless of how successful you are. You need to keep learning and you need to work hard if you want to succceed.

5.  IDEAS.  Simon Cowell is the classic example – coming up with The X Factor has made him millions (we assume!).  TV is based on ideas and one thing you are always asked in a screen-test is ‘what do you want to do?’  So make sure you start the dialogue with some thoughts – but make sure they match your brand and your market.

Good luck!

BOBBY NORRIS WORKS WITH THE PRESENTER STUDIO

We get sent people from agents all the time to work with us.  Many of these people have a high public profile but they want to boost their chances to become a TV presenter.  We recently worked with Bobby Norris from ITV2’s TOWIE.  He was fab.  Great attitude, great brand and great personality.  We offer industry based presenter training to everyone regardless of how experienced you are.  And this is what Bobby had to say about us:  “Thanks so much guys.  I am so excited.  I can’t wait to start my presenter career.  Thank you x”

So if you want to work with the best in the industry who have helped the career of a long list of stars on TV give us a shout (even though we are now fully booked until 2015!)…

TV PRESENTER TRAINING AT ITS BEST

The Presenter Studio is the ONLY business of it’s kind in the world.  Never before have TV Producers of our expertise, reputation and knowledge given themselves out to train and help new talent.

We love what we do and we are proud to say that whilst we never offer anyone a job, we do promise you the best chance possible of success.

With so much wrong advise out there it’s hard to tell why we are so good.  But perhaps just take a quick look and who we have worked with, the shows we make and you’ll soon realise what an amazing opportunity we are.

Here’s a quick note from a great presenter who we recently did a private location shoot with.   There are countless more testimonials all over our site.  But here is what Charlotte had to say about us – you can see her Talent Taster Tape on our youtube channel – www.youtube.com/presenterstudio

Just saw on your website that you had uploaded my reel-and I’ve watched it and I LOVE IT! Really really is fab-my mum in Spain just text “they’ve nailed it-captured you exactly as you are-it’s brilliant!”

Thank you soooooooo much. I’m going to join Twitter this week on my day off so I will tweet a huge thank you! But thought I’d send one now anyway!!!!! Happy Easter.

Love Charlotte xxxxx

We also have what we call a Talent Database where all the presenters who have been on either our fast track programme or 1 to 1 programme go.  As we are TV Producers we hear of opportunities all the time.  We also get contacted via our site.
