We are so lucky to have so many fantastic clients, who say some really lovely things about us.
Sheila Gordhan came on the award-wining fast track TV presenter course and wrote to us this week with a really lovely review that she said we could share with you all!
Here’s the presenter showreel we did for Sheila: https://youtu.be/5IDh_YDP_Zo
And here’s the lovely review she gave us!
"I did the 2 day fast track presenter training programme last summer at The Presenter Studio after being referred to the training by a friend of mine; he highly recommended it for the attention to detail that is taken in ensuring that the program is tailor to the individual. This is exactly what I was looking for; the first day you get to really understand yourself as a brand and learning the importance of delivery and then you get shooting for the showreel pieces which is so much fun as well as informative. Gareth was so clear in his explanation and interactive style and also provided an in depth feedback session where we discussed what kind of roles I would be suited to. It’s important to find your own niche and this is exactly what I found during my training there.
The information was very thorough and the showreel was tailor made for me where we worked as a team - I felt that it showcased me as a person and brand rather than odd presenter bits and bobs I had done earlier! When it was complete, the showreel shone and I felt that it showcased me at my best & truly in my element.
Since then, I’ve been fortunate to have worked at a number of events and ceremonies and most recently, was contacted by an online tv channel which has over 250 million users worldwide, to be their main presenter as well as their content producer! They had come across my showreel and got in touch, stating that they felt I would be perfect to represent their channel. They felt that my natural style in the showreel, the focus on features and entertainment, as well as my enthusiasm came across strongly and this is why they picked me out of so many others! It was so lovely to hear and I can not thank Presenter Studio enough for helping to make this all possible - I will now be presenting regular content for the channel and I’m so excited to be on this journey!"

We offer presentation training, presenter training and presenter coaching for politicians. On a daily basis politicians need to deliver presentations and speeches that feel authentic but also give important information. We can help with your script, your presentation style and technique.
During lockdown we've watched the simply amazing Hillary Clinton and the Michelle Obama documentaries on SKY and Netflix. They are a great watch, as not only do we get to see behind the scenes of the lives of these two remarkable women, but we also get to see the craft of putting together a good speech.
The Hillary Clinton documentary ‘Hillary’ focussed a lot on how the public had an instant view of her, simply by how she looked. And every aspect of her speeches was analysed by a team - from writers to press advisors. It was a great demonstration of how much skill goes into coming across as a great leader. It’s a four-hour portrait of arguably the most famous female figure in modern politics and a must-see for any aspiring speaker.
Boris Johnson has clearly had media training since he was made Prime Minister - he's adopted his own style - the clenched fist, the repetitive use of pauses - a style that feels rehearsed and placed, rather than a style we feel that feel should feel authentic and honest.
Michelle Obama is a great speaker, and her Neflix documentary 'Becoming' is a fascinating window into how her speeches have inspired a nation. Her warmth and passion shines through - a woman who speaks from the heart, who delivers speeches with great authority, accessibility and inclusivity.
Developing your own presentation style as a politician is incredibly important, and it's an art that needs to be worked on and also constantly reviewed. So if you want to the best presenter, communicator and politician we'd love to help you.
Our TV presenter training courses are now all up and running. Your safety will always be our priority and we are now allowed to film, and are following the 2 metre ruling from the Government. Our presenter courses are always small - we don't run big group TV presenter training courses where lots of people are in a small room. Instead we have a maximum of 4 clients on our award-winning fast track TV presenter course, where you will work alongside a TV Producer and a cameraman. For the 1 to 1 presenter coaching it is just yourself, a TV Producer and a cameraman.
Our online presenter training courses will continue to run as we do our best to support you during these hard times, and it's work that we have also really enjoyed. But we are truly excited to be back in the studio!
All the dates for our presenter training courses can be found on the Book Now part of the website. So do check them out as there is limited availability for June now.
See you soon!

So, what are your thoughts on Boris' speech? Do you think it delivered? Was it clear? Are we the nation fully briefed and inspired for change?
We help a whole range of people deliver speeches and we write their scripts too. So, here's what we thought:
THE SCRIPT: The basics of any good speech are the words you use – your script. Without good content the rest falls down. And in this speech the content had to be King. But we felt his script was too conversional in style and too unstructured making it hard to separate the ‘chat’ from the all too important ‘key information’. And any key bits of information lacked sufficient detail or explanation.
STRUCTURE: Having a clear structure is important for any speech, and it’s often good to set this out from the top. Boris’ script lacked an obvious structure which could mean that any key details are then in danger of getting lost.
With any speech making sure your viewer walks away with clear and informed ‘takeout’ is so important.
ALLOCATION OF TIME: Boris spent a lot of time praising the nation and most importantly the NHS at the top of his speech. Praise indeed, but these encouraging words were not meant to be the main purpose of this particular speech. We felt he spent too much time at the top on general context, and not enough time on setting out his new plan. Having a simple ‘running order’ where you allocate time to the key section of your speech forces your hand to focus in on what is important. We felt Boris shoud have got to his key points of his new plan much much quicker. And when Boris did finally get to his plan it felt rushed - it was as if he'd run out of time.
CLARITY: We feel Boris should have adopted a much more instructive approach to his speech, focussing in hard on the details of his new 'call to action'. His language and information needed to be more direct with more explanation and detail on the new points. The nation has waited a good few weeks for this speech, so our expectations were high and our desire for detail was ready and waiting – but did Boris’ speech feed our need?
THE PURPOSE: Whenever you are delivering a speech it's important to focus in on the purpose – and also not to forget this purpose. Ask yourself ‘what do I want to achieve with this’? So, what was Boris' purpose here - to rally the nation, or to give us clear instructions about how to move forwards? We felt his purpose was lost.
HIS DELIVERY: Boris has become a much more confident speaker. As a leader he has found and developed his own style. The thumping of the desk, the pointed fists to accentuate his key words…he has become more passionate, more focussed and more connected with what he is saying. But, in this case we feel his impassioned delivery actually overshadowed the need here for good solid content – pure and simple. Content in this case should have been King, not Boris himself.
But what did you think? Do you agree? Did Boris deliver? Did it give you what you needed?
We offer bespoke presentation skills training. Our training is based on over 20 years experience working with some of the UK's biggest presenters - where we write their scripts and produce them on the day. It's these skills and experience we apply to the corporate sector, offering something unique and high level when it comes to presentation skills. We've worked with a long list of very exciting brands - Porsche, Sage, ASOS, Red Bull, Virgin Media, Conde Naste and also small business owners - beauty salons, jewellers, gyms. So if you want exceptional tailor-made presentation skills training get in touch with us.
Lots of us are turning to Instagram lives to promote ourselves or our businesses. So here are our top tips to doing a good instagram live:
1 – Be Yourself! Don’t present! Your personality should be your focus when it comes to how you want to come across – so use your own language, avoid corporate jargon and simply be yourself.
2 – Purpose. Lots of lives and social media content can lack purpose. So make sure you have a reason to go live, and stick to that reason!
3 – Have a good intro. You want to capture your followers right at the top. If you are waiting for someone to join you in a live set up, don’t simply sit there in
silence, set the scene and tone of what is to come.
4 – Collaborate – now is a great time to connect with other brands and businesses. So set up live interviews and make sure they are packed with take-out for your
audience.
5 – Make sure it looks good and on brand. We all respond to things visually quickly, so make sure you are well lit (from the side or front), your eyeline is forwards rather than down or up, and that it’s a nice head and shoulders shot – it’s what we’d call in TV an MCU (medium close up!)
ENJOY your Instagram lives! For more tips on presenting, social media content etc look at our online presenter training programmes on the website – click on the online tab. We are doing so many great online training sessions right now for businesses and presenters.
