Did you see the speeches at the end of the men’s final at Wimbledon? After hours of high-stakes tennis, what stood out just as much as the athletic brilliance was how both players handled the spotlight with kindness, humility, and heartfelt appreciation.

The finalists didn’t just talk about their own achievements. They thanked each other, recognised their teams, and even gave a nod to the ball boys and girls. It was a moment of grace, warmth, and genuine human connection — and the crowd loved it.

So what can this teach us about how to present and communicate better in our own lives — especially at work?

Far too often, business presentations are stiff, overly rehearsed, or packed with facts but lacking any emotional connection. But what we saw on that Centre Court stage was a masterclass in presenting with heart. The players were vulnerable, appreciative, and above all — kind. And because of that, we warmed to them. We listened. We respected them more.

That’s the power of kindness in presenting.

When you come across as warm and sincere, your audience is more likely to engage with you. They trust you. They want to hear more. That doesn’t mean dumbing things down or performing a version of yourself that feels false. It simply means showing a little humanity — recognising the team behind the work, appreciating your audience’s time, and communicating in a way that feels real.

So next time you're preparing for a big pitch or a team update, take a moment to ask yourself:

  • Am I showing appreciation for the people around me?

  • Am I speaking with warmth?

  • How can I make this more human?

Kindness costs nothing — but in presenting, it could be the most powerful tool you have.

So many people come to us saying they’ve been on a presentation skills course before—but nothing really changed. That’s often because traditional training focuses on surface-level fixes. At The Presenter Studio, we dig deeper.

We understand that presentation anxiety, poor structure or a lack of clarity often come from a disconnect between what you want to say and how you’re trying to say it. Our courses address both sides of the equation: what you’re presenting and how you’re performing it.

We start by helping you find your natural communication style. Then we work on building tools around that style so your presentations feel authentic, not rehearsed. Our clients range from CEOs to first-time speakers, and we shape each session to match individual needs. With us, you’re not just learning how to stand in front of a room—you’re learning how to own it.

From storytelling techniques to handling difficult questions, our courses equip you with the confidence and strategies to succeed. And the feedback speaks for itself—people leave our training sessions with not just skills, but a whole new mindset.

We had a great time running a storytelling presentation skills workshop with the Bank of East Asia.

There's a lot of chats now about storytelling in presentations and for us it could be chat that sometimes feels a bit intangible, overly flowery and overly corporate…

For us at The Presenter Studio storytelling is all about connection.  It's about connecting with an audience in an authentic way and bringing your content to life rather than talking at or presenting to an audience.

Everything in communications is storytelling.   It's using your content and thinking how can I make this mean something to my audience?  How can I help them remember what it is I'm talking about?

The session was once again completely tailor made to the team at the Bank of East Asia their needs and the type of presentations they do.

Thanks for having us.

The Presenter Studio

Memorising your presentation can feel like one of the biggest challenges when preparing to speak. Many people assume they have to learn it word for word, but the real goal is to speak with clarity and confidence without sounding robotic.

One of the best ways to start is by thinking in sections. Instead of writing out a full script, break your talk into key themes or chapters. This makes it easier to remember what comes next and gives your presentation structure. The more natural the structure, the easier it will be to internalise.

Visual aids like slides or props can act as helpful memory prompts. They not only support your audience’s understanding but give you subtle reminders of where you are in your message. Just be careful not to read directly from them—use them as guides, not crutches.

Another powerful memory tool is storytelling. When you share personal experiences or case studies, it becomes much easier to recall what you want to say. Stories also hold attention and create emotional engagement with your audience.

Rehearsing out loud is vital. Stand up, speak clearly, and run through your presentation as though the audience is in front of you. Don’t just mumble it under your breath—give it the energy and rhythm you plan to use on the day. You can even record yourself and watch it back to identify areas that feel awkward or need tightening.

Importantly, memorising doesn’t mean reciting. The best presenters know their material inside-out but leave room for spontaneity. If you lose your place, stay calm. The audience doesn’t know what you forgot to say. Focus on your message, not the script. Using prompt cards is a great device - get some branded ones made up with the company logo on the back so it looks super slick!

True confidence comes from knowing your content, not memorising every word. With expert presentation skills training, you’ll learn to feel prepared, sound natural, and present with real impact.

In today’s fast-paced business world, being able to communicate ideas clearly and confidently is a key leadership skill. Whether you're pitching to clients, running team meetings, or speaking at events, the way you present can shape how others see you.

At Presenter Studio, our public speaking training for professionals is built around real-world situations. We don’t just teach techniques – we help you apply them in the settings that matter most to your work.

One of the first things we address is structure. Most professionals overcomplicate their content. We help you build clear, focused presentations using a simple three-part structure: What’s the message? Why does it matter? What’s the call to action?

We also look at tone and delivery. Many professionals speak too fast or fill gaps with “um” or “like.” These habits can dilute your authority. We help you replace filler with pauses and teach you how to use emphasis to guide your audience.

Eye contact is another key skill. When speaking in meetings or small groups, make sure to include everyone by moving your gaze around the room. In larger settings, divide the audience mentally into zones and connect with each one.

And finally, we teach you to speak with intention. Every sentence should move the audience forward. Cut out waffle, be clear, and speak like you mean it.

For professionals who want to speak with credibility, warmth and clarity, our training offers long-lasting impact.

Feeling nervous before speaking in public is normal – even seasoned presenters experience it. The key isn’t to eliminate nerves, but to manage them so they don’t take over. At Presenter Studio, we coach clients to reframe nerves as energy – and to use that energy in a positive way.

One simple and effective tip is to breathe deeply before speaking. Shallow breathing triggers anxiety, while deep, controlled breaths tell your body you’re safe. We teach breathing techniques that help settle nerves and focus your voice.

Another technique is preparation – but not just memorising words. Prepare your structure. Know your key messages and the points you want to make. This gives you a mental map to follow, even if you feel thrown.

Rehearsing out loud is also critical. Reading through notes isn’t enough. Practise your opening out loud several times so it becomes familiar. That first minute is often the hardest, so the more rehearsed it is, the more confident you’ll feel.

We also help clients identify their ‘anchor’ – something physical like where you place your hands or how you stand. This can ground you and create a sense of control.

With the right techniques and some coaching, it’s possible not just to survive public speaking, but to enjoy it.

Public speaking isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being present, engaging and real. At Presenter Studio, we coach people from all industries to speak with confidence and clarity – whether they’re delivering a keynote, presenting at work or standing on stage for the first time.

One of the biggest mistakes people make is focusing too much on themselves. Instead, shift your attention to the audience. What do they need from you? What do you want them to take away? Speaking with purpose helps calm nerves and gives your message focus.

We also work on voice and pace. Slowing down not only helps the audience understand you better – it gives you time to think. Try pausing between ideas. Pauses add power and allow your key messages to land.

Movement matters too. When presenting, avoid pacing or fidgeting. Instead, stand still for impact and walk only when you’re changing energy or introducing a new idea. This creates structure and keeps the audience grounded.

If you’re looking to elevate your public speaking, work with coaches who understand how to bring out your natural style. That’s what our training is all about – helping you become the most confident and authentic version of yourself on stage.

Media Training, Public Speaking

If you're representing your brand in the media, you’re also speaking in public – just to a much bigger, often unseen audience. That’s why media training and public speaking skills are closely connected. Our course helps you master both, so you can feel at ease whether you're on stage, in a studio, or speaking to camera.

Great public speakers know how to hold attention. Great media spokespeople know how to land messages. In our sessions, we combine both disciplines – helping you feel in control of your voice, message and delivery.

A key part of this course is presence. We work on breath, pace, and pauses to give your voice authority and variation. We also explore how to stand or sit with presence – without stiffness – so your body language matches your message.

In the media, you rarely get a second chance. That’s why we train you to think in short, sharp soundbites. This means cutting out jargon, simplifying your message, and using clear, emotive language that sticks.

Another powerful tool we teach is storytelling. Whether it’s a keynote or a media interview, stories humanise your message and create emotional connection. We show you how to use personal anecdotes, case studies, or simple metaphors to make your points come alive.

Our course also covers media interview formats – from hostile questions to friendly chats – and how to adjust your delivery for each.

With our coaching, you’ll develop a consistent, confident speaking style that works across every platform and performance.

Best Media Training Course

When it comes to high-pressure media appearances, good intentions aren’t enough. You need training that’s grounded in real-world experience, tailored to your role, and focused on results. Our Best Media Training Course is trusted by CEOs, spokespeople, experts and creatives across the UK and beyond.

We don’t believe in formulaic training. Every course is led by award-winning producers and media experts with a background in national TV and news. You’ll learn how the media really works – from the inside – and how to use interviews to your advantage.

A standout tip from our course: never go into an interview “to inform.” You go in to influence. That means identifying your key messages in advance, preparing memorable soundbites, and bridging from questions to answers with control and authenticity.

We teach a technique called "message sandwiching" – starting with a confident statement, giving a short supporting example, then repeating your key point. It helps you stay on track and gives the journalist exactly what they need – clean, concise quotes.

We also cover crisis communication – how to protect your reputation when the story turns negative. This includes how to stay calm under pressure, avoid being misquoted, and communicate transparency without exposing your organisation to unnecessary risk.

Whether it’s a primetime broadcast, podcast guest spot or internal media piece, our course prepares you to speak with clarity, credibility and composure.

Media Training Course Online

In today’s digital-first world, media opportunities can arise fast – and they don’t always happen face-to-face. Whether you’re asked to join a live podcast, a Zoom interview, or a broadcast via Teams, the ability to present yourself well on camera is vital. Our Media Training Course Online is designed to help professionals deliver clear, confident and compelling media performances from anywhere in the world.

This virtual course mirrors our in-person coaching, with one major difference: we train you in the exact environment you’ll appear in. That means practising on Zoom, learning where to look on screen, managing your setup, lighting and background, and mastering eye-line for maximum impact.

A common mistake people make online is staring at themselves on the screen, rather than the camera. We help you reposition your gaze, so you appear confident, present and trustworthy. We also teach how to manage nerves and think on your feet – essential for handling tough questions or unexpected turns.

Our online media training covers everything from messaging and key soundbites to body language, voice control and crisis comms. The format is flexible – we offer one-to-one sessions or group training depending on your needs.

Clients often say this course transforms not just how they perform on screen, but how they feel. With the right training, even the most camera-shy professionals can develop a warm, authentic and authoritative media presence – all without leaving home.
